Purpose & Mission

The Prison Ministry at Encounter Church exists to carry the light of the Gospel into some of the darkest places. We believe no soul is beyond reach, and no story is too broken for redemption. Our calling is to minister to incarcerated men and women with love, dignity, and truth—reminding them they are seen by God, loved by Jesus, and never forgotten.

Through the power of Scripture, emotional support, and authentic relationship, we help the incarcerated rediscover their God-given identity, find freedom in Christ, and prepare for lives of purpose—inside and beyond prison walls.

As Jesus declared in Matthew 25:36:
“I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
